Skin Resurfacing Services in Houston
No single treatment suits everyone. Your plan may use one or more of the following treatments, depending on what your evaluation shows.
- Laser skin resurfacing. Controlled laser energy removes or heats damaged skin to trigger new collagen. Best for fine lines, sun damage and uneven texture.
- Chemical peels. Medical-grade exfoliating solutions in light to medium strengths. They brighten dull skin and soften discoloration.
- Hydrofacial. A no-downtime deep cleanse, exfoliation and hydration. A good starting point, or maintenance between stronger treatments.
- Microneedling. Collagen induction therapy for texture, enlarged pores and mild acne scarring.
- Morpheus8 RF microneedling. Combines microneedling with radiofrequency for deeper remodeling of texture and laxity.
- Hyperpigmentation treatment. Targeted care for dark spots, melasma and uneven tone when discoloration is the main concern.
Not sure which treatment your skin needs? That’s what the free consultation is for. A provider examines your skin and explains which options suit it, including which ones don’t. You get an honest plan before you commit to anything.

Skin Problems We Help Improve
Dull, tired-looking skin
Slower cell turnover with age leaves dead cells sitting on the surface. Resurfacing clears them and brings light reflection back to the skin.
Rough texture, enlarged pores and fine lines
Collagen decline shows first as crepey patches around the eyes and mouth. Fractional laser and microneedling both work by triggering controlled repair.
Sun damage, age spots and uneven tone
Years of strong Gulf Coast sun build up as brown spots and blotchiness. Resurfacing can lift surface pigment, but deeper melasma usually needs its own plan.
Is Skin Resurfacing Right for You?
Usually a good fit if you:
- Have dullness, texture, fine lines or mild sun damage
- Want improvement without surgery
- Can protect your skin from the sun for several weeks after treatment
Usually not the right fit, or should be postponed, if you:
- Have an active acne breakout, cold sore or skin infection in the treatment area
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding (most resurfacing is postponed during this time)
- Have recently used isotretinoin, or have a history of poor wound healing or keloid scarring
- Expect a single session to erase deep wrinkles or sagging. Those need tightening treatments; see Skin Firming.

What recovery looks like
| Treatment intensity | Typical recovery |
|---|---|
| Hydrofacial, light peel | Little to no downtime; mild redness for a few hours |
| Microneedling, non-ablative laser | Redness and dryness for about 1 to 3 days |
| Fractional ablative laser, medium peel | Peeling and sensitivity for about 3 to 7 days |
These are general ranges; your provider will give timing specific to your treatment.
How Much Does Skin Rejuvenation Cost in Houston?
The cost of skin rejuvenation in Houston depends on the treatment type, the size of the area treated and the number of sessions you need. A no-downtime hydrofacial and a fractional laser resurfacing session are priced very differently. J9 confirms your exact price at the free consultation, before any treatment begins.
Technology
Facials and light peels cost the least. Fractional and ablative laser treatments cost the most.
Treatment area
A small area such as around the eyes or mouth costs less than the full face, neck or chest.
Number of sessions
Gentler treatments often need a series. Packages can lower the cost per session.
Aftercare products
Medical-grade sunscreen and barrier repair products may be recommended.

Skin Rejuvenation FAQs
How many sessions will I need?
Light treatments usually work best as a series of 3 to 6 sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Stronger laser treatments may need only one or two. Your provider will give you the number at your consultation.
Does skin resurfacing hurt?
Most patients describe a warm, prickling sensation. Topical numbing is used for microneedling and laser treatments where appropriate.
When will I see results?
Brightness often improves within a week. Texture and fine lines keep improving over 1 to 3 months as new collagen forms.
How should I prepare?
Avoid tanning and self-tanner for at least two weeks beforehand. Tell your provider about any retinoids, acne medication or history of cold sores. You may be asked to pause some products.
Is it safe for darker skin?
Often yes, with the right technology and conservative settings. A skin-type assessment comes before any treatment for exactly this reason.
Are results permanent?
Treated skin stays improved, but aging and sun exposure continue. Daily SPF and occasional maintenance sessions help results last.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. Every new patient gets a complimentary consultation, with no obligation to book a treatment.
Do you accept insurance?
Skin rejuvenation is cosmetic, so insurance usually doesn’t cover it. Your price is confirmed in writing at the free consultation.
Individual results vary.
