Morpheus8 Microneedling in Houston, TX
Tighten, Smooth and Renew Skin, From Your Face to Your Whole Body
Morpheus8 is a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling treatment. Fine insulated pins enter the skin and release RF heat in the deeper layers, which triggers new collagen and remodels tissue that regular microneedling can’t reach. It is used for loose or crepey skin, wrinkles, acne scars and stretch marks on the face, neck and body.
At J9 Clinic & Med Spa on S Sam Houston Pkwy W (77031) and Bintliff Dr (77074), a licensed provider maps each area and sets the depth and energy for your skin before treatment.

What It Treats
Skin Concerns Morpheus8 Helps Improve
Loose, crepey or sagging skin. Collagen and elastin decline with age, weight change and pregnancy. RF heat in the deeper layers contracts existing collagen and stimulates new collagen, which firms skin gradually. It suits mild to moderate laxity; significant excess skin usually needs a surgical consult.
Acne scars and deep texture. Rolling and boxcar scars are tethered below the surface. Morpheus8 reaches deeper than regular microneedling, which is why it’s often recommended when scars have stopped improving with lighter treatments.
Wrinkles and stretch marks. Fine to moderate lines on the face and neck, and stretch marks on the abdomen, hips and thighs, can soften and blend in. Stretch marks improve, but they rarely disappear completely.
- Mild to moderate laxity on the face, neck and body
- Acne scars that have stopped improving with lighter treatments
- Fine lines, wrinkles and crepey skin
- Stretch marks that soften and blend in

When Morpheus8 Isn’t the Right Choice (Yet)
Contraindications are rarely listed on clinic pages, but they matter. Morpheus8 is usually not a fit, or should be postponed, if you:
- Have a pacemaker, implanted electronic device, or metal implants in the treatment area
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have an active infection, cold sore, open wound or acne flare in the area
- Have taken isotretinoin recently
- Have a history of keloid scarring
- Have significant loose skin, where surgery may give a better result
Honest Recommendations
Morpheus8 or Regular Microneedling? Let a Provider Decide With You.
Morpheus8 isn’t always the right call. If your main concern is surface texture, regular microneedling may be enough at a lower cost. Your consultation will tell you honestly.
Know the Difference
Morpheus8 vs Microneedling vs Laser
Regular microneedling stimulates collagen mechanically near the surface. Morpheus8 adds RF heat deeper in the skin for more tightening and remodeling, with more downtime and a higher cost. J9 also offers laser resurfacing and skin tightening and firming, so Morpheus8 is recommended only when it’s the right tool.
- Regular microneedling: surface texture, lower cost, less downtime
- Morpheus8: deeper remodeling and tightening on the face and body
- Your plan is based on your skin, not on a single device
Is It Right for You?
Is Morpheus8 Right for You?
Morpheus8 works best for mild to moderate concerns. Here is how to tell whether it suits you, and what to ask before you book anywhere.
Usually a good fit if you:
- Have mild to moderate skin laxity, acne scars, wrinkles, crepey skin or stretch marks
- Want more tightening than regular microneedling, without surgery
- Can allow a few days of visible redness and pin marks
Darker skin tones
Morpheus8 is often chosen for medium and deeper skin tones because the energy is delivered below the surface rather than on top. That doesn’t make it risk-free. Too much heat can still cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. J9 adjusts depth and energy for your skin type and may suggest a pre-treatment skincare routine. Ask your provider how your settings account for your skin tone.
Questions to ask any clinic
Is this a genuine InMode Morpheus8 device? Is the tip new and single-use? Who sets the energy and depth, and what is their training? Unusually cheap “RF microneedling” deals are where these answers matter most.

Pricing
How Much Does Morpheus8 Cost in Houston?
Morpheus8 costs more per session than regular microneedling because it uses RF energy and single-use device tips. National cost guides put a full-face session at roughly $700–$1,500, and larger body areas at roughly $1,500–$4,000. Houston prices vary by clinic. J9 gives you a written price for your areas at the free consultation, before any treatment.
Area Size
A small area or the face costs less than the abdomen or thighs.
Number of Areas
Face plus neck, or several body zones, usually cost more in total but less per area.

Recovery
What Recovery Looks Like
Visible recovery usually takes about a week. The bigger change comes over the next three months: from weeks 3 to 12, collagen builds and firmness and texture keep improving.
Recovery Timeline
What’s Normal After Morpheus8
Aftercare for Houston weather: Skip workouts, saunas, swimming and long outdoor time for about 48 hours, because heat and sweat irritate freshly treated skin. Use only gentle cleanser and moisturizer at first. Wear broad-spectrum SPF every day, and keep treated body areas covered in strong sun.
Day 0–2
Redness, warmth, mild swelling and a grid of tiny pin marks.
Day 2–5
Dryness and light flaking; makeup is usually fine after about 2 days.
Week 1
Most visible signs have settled; some swelling may last longer on the body.

Does Morpheus8 hurt?
Numbing cream is applied first. Most patients feel heat and pressure during each pass. Bony areas and higher settings feel stronger.

Expect redness, mild swelling and pin marks for a few days. Makeup is usually fine after about 2 days. Body areas can take a little longer to settle.
Is Morpheus8 safe for darker skin?
It is often chosen for medium and deeper skin tones, but settings must be adjusted for your skin type to reduce the risk of dark marks.
